National Post
I was interviewed for an article in the National Post and it came out today. They wanted to talk to a younger nun and since I am the youngest in my community I to be in the paper. I am sure I now have used up my 15 mins of fame. I hope it helps the RL a bit and that maybe it will spark someone to think about life in community.

Sad goodbyes
I think that one of the hardest things that communities have to deal with is people coming and going. By the time my last year of being a novice came around I was the only one left. I have just found out that one of the community is leaving. I have not lived in the same house as she has and have just meet her a few weeks ago. But I really liked her and I thought that she fit in really well. I know one of the reasons that some people leave is one that I struggle with all the time is loneliness. I do also miss not have a special person in my life. So why am I here and she is leaving? I am not sure it not that my pain is any less. It is a question that I ask myself over and over with no answer is sight except for I need to be here right now. I guess its my call right now to stay and what will be next God only knows!

Back in blogger land/ lets try again!
I know that it has been a long time since I last posted. Things started to get way to busy and I just gave up on blogging.
Since my last post I have been 1st professed in my community. I also have been posted to our branch house in BC. I love BC! I don't know how anyone can leave. I will have one more year and then I am back to Toronto.
I still knit and if I tried to explain all the projects that I have started and finished it would be a very long post indeed. The one project that is always in the background is my journey blanket. I asked the people that I invited to my profession to bring a skein of yarn that represented them. I now am knitting the balls of yarn in to a blanket. I call it a journey blanket because it has all the people that have helped me along my path and have walked with me for a short time or a long time. The problem is that I did not realize how many people have walked with me!
Glad to be back and hope to keep up with blogging this time.
